St Peter & Mary’s Church Hall dates from the early 1900s and lies within the local harbour conservation area. The Church Hall was deemed inadequate for the growing village congregation and sold to a developer to finance a new church hall.
We were commissioned to sensitively restore the fabric of this much loved local building
whilst also extending and remodelling the internal space to provide a pair of two bedroom houses. Externally the palette of materials used draws on the architectural language of the existing building all carefully detailed, while internally the contemporary use of space and materials is an unexpected yet welcome experience.
