Our Replacement Sea Front house wins at the Sussex Heritage Trust Awards 2019.

For another year, leading Chichester Architectural Practice– Pullen Architecture receives recognition from the Sussex Heritage Trust Awards.

This replacement family house, on a prominent sea front location, is a fusion of the Arts and Crafts forms and Dutch colonial references, with a nod to the memory of the original house whilst creating a more appropriate lighter maritime aesthetic which celebrates the spirit of the sea side with its stunning views over the beach and sea beyond.

Sustainable technologies will enable this property to function off grid.

As part of the process, both the house and surrounding landscape were designed with new a new resin-bound driveway and paths, along with subtle planting, ensures this new house sits comfortably within this wonderful seaside setting.

Sussex Heritage Trust judges commented:

“The brief was met and the client’s needs were exceeded. Use of renewables excellent.  Good use of site specific materials.  Design totally appropriate for location”.
